Rob Denton - Lead Pastor
Rob was born and raised in Southern California. He enjoys playing most sports, especially golf and baseball. Rob and his wife Lisa have two boys, Drew and Easton, a daughter-in-law, Christina, and a granddaughter, Taylor. He joined West Valley when he was baptized in 1987. He has been on staff here since 1993 and became the Lead Pastor in 2016.
John Stalboerger - Associate Pastor
John graduated from West Valley Christian School in 1988 and from Hope International University in 1993 with a degree in Church Growth/Preaching. John and his wife, Christina, have two adult sons: Andrew and Timothy. John enjoys reading, sports and good BBQ; not necessarily in that order.
Amy Gonzalez - Children's Ministry Director
Amy is passionate about hot coffee, planner stickers, and Jesus. She is always ready to laugh, try new foods, and connect kids to The Savior. She is thankful for her husband Tim, their four kids, and Diet Coke from a fountain.
nik cullen - student MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Nik was born, raised, and still lives in Simi Valley. He has a strong passion for creating and developing a space for students to be themselves and helping them connect with Jesus in a way that’s relevant to them. Nik is a fan of most sports, go Eagles, but can be found spending his free time doing graphic design, making music, or learning a variety of new skills.
Cynthia Wagner - Director of Operations
Cynthia was born, raised and has spent almost her entire life right here in Southern California where she met her amazing husband. She loves spending time with her family, camping, being a mom to her 2 daughters, and being a wife. Cynthia has been working at West Valley since 2001 and considers it a ministry that she loves, not a job.
Greg Green - Missions Pastor
Greg was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and has a passion for spreading God’s Word to the world. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from CSUN, a Masters in Divinity from Pepperdine, and a Doctorate in Ministry from Knox Theological Seminary. He loves spending time with his wife Nina, cooking, creating, writing, building, discovering, traveling, and exploring God’s creation.
Mandie Pinto - Worship Director
At the age of 14, Mandie Pinto clearly heard the call to minister through music and set out to sing at churches, conferences, and services throughout the world. Mandie also teaches voice privately and conducts vocal workshops at various churches. Mandie and her husband Jeremy are happily married and she is a blessed mama to their two beautiful daughters.
Jackie Carter - Administrative Assistant
Jackie and her family have been a part of the West Valley family since 2000 when their oldest son started attending our school. After faithfully volunteering in many ministries for 19 years she came on staff part-time in April of 2019. Jackie and her husband Chuck have been married since 1982 and have 2 sons.
Tracie Cordle - PRODUCTION MANAGER
Tracie loves her life as a native of Southern California where the sun shines on most days. She and her husband, Jim, married in 1994 and have two children, Kara and Trent. After attending and volunteering at West Valley for over 25 years she came on staff part-time in August of 2014.
Mike Van Holten - Sound & Lighting DIRECTOR
Mike is married to his lovely wife, Andrea, and they have one daughter, Phoenix. Mike learned the art of sound engineering and lighting design while volunteering here at West Valley for 2 years. He then joined the TEAM in 2014 as our Sound & Lighting Director.
Taryn Hogue - ASSOCIATE CHILDREN'S MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Taryn came to West Valley while in the 2nd grade. She has volunteered in our Student Ministry & Children's Ministry and gone to AZ on mission’s trips for many years. After all these years serving she was hired as an intern in the Children’s Ministry in 2019 and was promoted to Associate Children's Ministry Director in 2022. She recently graduated from Pierce College and is continuing her education at CSUN.
TRISTAN Kenyon - sTUDENT mINISTRY iNTERN
Tristan grew up in Simi Valley and accepted Jesus early on in life. He started serving in the youth ministry around 15, graduated Grand Canyon University with a B.A. emphasizing Youth Ministry. He loves all things Star Wars, Patriots football and Red Sox baseball. He cannot wait to help young people pursue relationships with Jesus!
Tim gonzalez - first steps director
Tim is a native of the San Fernando Valley. He first started attending West Valley in 2013 with his wife Amy and their four children. Tim loves meeting new people and helping visitors find community here at West Valley. He loves Jesus, dad jokes and Dodger baseball.
Jim Bell - Teaching Pastor
Jim is a graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara and the USC Law School. He has been a Sunday school teacher and an elder, and is now a preacher at West Valley Christian Church on Saturday nights, where he and his wife, Cindy, have been members since 1984. They have two children and three grandchildren.
